The Resource Room is a classroom where students who are on IEP's come for small group academic support during their school day.
What's going on?????
Some of your children may have mentioned to you about a new teacher who has been in my classroom since January. Her name is Mrs. Forkner and she is a student teacher who joined my classroom in January. She will be in my classroom until May 4th.
State testing for 3rd-6th grade students has begun. I have been able to proctor for many of my students on IEP's this spring. Some students who are on IEP's have the accommodation that they can have the test read to them. Something new we learned this year is that they can also have the "English Language Arts" test also read aloud. These tests are stressful and your children are working hard. I am celebrating them for their efforts after finishing this test.

Tonight at Baker Prairie middle school is an Open house for all incoming 6th graders. It starts at 4:30 and goes until 6:30. If your 6th grader is on an IEP it is a good chance to have them meet the Special Education teachers Jessica, Laurie and Barb the Speech Pathologist. I will be there to help you connect with this team and help guide you to the right person to answer any questions you may have.
